Coach's Summary
The Londonderry Lancer football team kicked off their season with a gritty and impressive victory over their conference rivals, the Salem Blue Devils, in a challenging away game on Friday. This was a challenging start to the season playing a game with conference implications, but we showcased a lot of resilience and execution against a formidable opponent. The coaches are very proud of the effort and toughness that was on display on Friday. It was great to see our boys match their toughness and execute against a good opponent.
We had standout performances from Carson Palma, Adrian Cruz, Sam Ogden, and the entire offensive line. Special teams played a crucial role in the victory, with two pivotal punts pinning Salem within their own 5-yard line, one of which led to a safety. The kickoff coverage was also solid on all but one, and all extra points were successfully converted. The defense showed speed and cohesion as a group, they worked well together to contain Salem's offensive skill players. Credit to all the defensive coaches for getting this group to be ready for an offense like Salem’s in week one.
Fumble recovery
Safety!
As challenging as this first game was, the benefit is that we've been tested before facing another great opponent and then four consecutive conference games.

Coach's Summary
In the JV game, the young guys also showed a lot of promise, scoring on their first two drives. They also demonstrated physicality, aggression on defense, and good special teams’ coverage. While there is still a lot to learn, we were pleased to see the team compete and execute against a strong program.

Coach's Summary
The LHS freshman football started the season with a bang by shutting out Salem 16-0. The defense played tough by containing a very good Salem quarterback. The offense gained momentum as the game went on with the offensive line playing tough up front and some hard running from our Lancer running backs. The team looks to take this momentum into week 2 against St. Johns Prep.
