Coach's Summary
The players did a great job of staying focused and motivated through the rescheduling and then the delay in the middle of the game. The staff was wondering if they could maintain the focus, they had Friday as they were preparing for the game and the players showed their ability to adapt and stay focused. The defense played well for most of the game, we never allowed Chelmsford to get a run game going and the pass game which is what we felt would be the biggest challenge for us ended up becoming a nonfactor. The credit for that goes to the defensive backs and defensive staff, as well as the defensive line and linebackers applying pressure on their quarterback. Offensively we did a good job establishing a run game early which opened other options for the offense. It’s nice to see big play ability from the offense but it’s the consistency each play, and each drive remains to be our focus right now. Some of our special team units were great, but others need to have more of an impact. There was a lot of improvement from game one to game two which is the emphasis right now.

Coach's Summary
The Londonderry Lancer Freshman football team won their first home game against Chelmsford 26-8. The defense dominated all game with great play from our linebacking core and our defensive backs. However, the game was won on both sides of the trenches. The offensive line did an amazing job blocking up front and communicating on the many fronts of Chelmsford’s defense. The defensive line made the Chelmsford quarterback on edge all game. The team takes on Manchester Central away in Manchester.
