Lancers in the News

WMUR News

"Londonderry offense exploding for 41 points and 350 rushing yards, the Lancers are 1-0 after a 41-14 victory."

Watch the Londonderry vs Concord highlights from 2:20 - 3:20:

New Hampshire high school football highlights: Week 1 2023 (wmur.com)

"LONDONDERRY — There’s nothing odd about a football team using two quarterbacks during the course of a regular-season game. Sometimes, one is the better runner, the other a better passer and together they can confuse a defense.

Using three QBs during a game is rare.

And then there’s Londonderry coach Jimmy Lauzon, who used four, count ’em four QBs, and all had golden moments in the Lancers’ 41-14 destruction of Concord in a Division I season opener Friday night before the usual faithful at Lancer Park..."

Varsity Wrap-Up

 home vs

Concord

9-1-2023

It was a great way to start the season. The boys came to play on defense, they had great enthusiasm, hustle, and aggressiveness. Their pursuit to the football made up for any mistakes or missed tackles. We need to continue to improve with our reads, technique, and tackling, but you can’t teach aggressiveness and passion which is what was most evident on Friday. The offense was sloppy at times, but the ground game was able to get established as the offensive line got better and better throughout the game and all the ball carriers make good reads and cuts. Special teams can be better, we turned the ball over and had two penalties which is uncharacteristic of our special teams, but we hope to improve each week.  We will need to clean a lot of things up before Friday as Chelmsford will be one of the better teams, we face all year. They are big, athletic, and will be ready to play as we are their opener and playing at Chelmsford is not an easy place to play.

JV Wrap-Up

Concord

9-2-2023

The JV team opened their season with a dominating 52-6 victory. Led by a great run game, the team was able to move the ball consistently which then opened the passing game. Adrian Cruz had several big carries and freshman quarterback was accurate through the air throwing and rushing for a touchdown.

Special teams and defense were also able to come up with scores as J-Veion Teeter scooped a fumble and returned it for a touchdown as well as Matt Wolf who blocked a punt and then scooped up his block and returned it for a touchdown.

The passion in which the JV team played with on an early Saturday morning was terrific, they were excited for one another and very supportive. We hope to see it continue every week.
